AC panel meters require periodic maintenance to check for linearity, hysteresis, and accuracy. A device that can accurately and reliably sweep voltage and current across a wide range would be ideal for this task. In this video, Yokogawa applications engineer Larry Walsh demonstrates how to use the 2558A AC Standard to ramp AC voltages and perform needle sticking tests on analog current and voltage meters.
